Michael Moore Curtains
Michael began his curtain career in the late 1980s and founded his first company, Curtains by Design, in 1990.

He trained as an upholsterer in his father’s factory, continuing a proud family business that ran for over 50 years. Craftsmanship and textiles have been part of the Moore family for more than 70 years, starting with Michael’s grandfather, who specialised in furniture upholstery before passing his skills on to his son, Don Moore, and then to Michael.

With a natural passion for design and a keen eye for detail, Michael established his own curtain business after recognising his strengths early on. From the outset, he built the business on strong foundations — quality, service, reliability, and delivering on time — all combined with a genuine passion for detail.

As the way people searched and shopped evolved, Michael secured the name curtainslondon and expanded the business across London and the surrounding areas. The company has grown from strength to strength and now Michael wanted to finish his last part of his 30 + carrear with Michael Moore Curtains/Interiors and this is why hes one of London’s leading specialists in bespoke curtains and blinds.

What We Do

Michael Moore Curtains works with a wide range of clients, from single-window installations to full homes and large-scale hotel projects.

No project is too small or too large.

We have been privileged to work with a variety of prestigious clients and brands, including members of the Royal Household (including work within Kensington Palace), Madame Tussauds (including projects connected with the President of the United States exhibit), Vodafone, Hard Rock, the Hippodrome, the Mandarin Oriental, Wrangler, eBay, Eddie Stobart, Dame Maggie Smith, and Eric Clapton — to name just a few.

However, the heart of our business remains our residential clients.

MICHAEL MOORE

Co Owner

Michael Moore has been in the curtain industry for over 30+ years. Although he would say he doesn't not look old enough. Lol..He says he always wanted to run his own business and now does so in one of the greatest cities in the world.

“I love London—it’s an incredible place to work. We meet some wonderful people, visit some beautiful homes, and help transform them into something truly special. Curtains have that final touch—they don’t just finish a house, they make it a home.”

Michael’s passion for design, combined with the creativity of his team, is at the heart of everything the company delivers.

“Our ideas and designs are very special—we’re incredibly lucky. I’ve always believed that if you strive to be better at something every single day, you will get better at it. Hard work, great customer service, and a strong team—that’s what it’s all about. My team are genuinely friendly, they care, and that shows in the relationships we build with our clients.”

A perfectionist at heart—with just the right touch of humour—Michael continues to lead the business with energy, passion, and a clear commitment to excellence.


SHEENA

Sheena has been an integral part of Michael Moore Interiors for over four years, becoming a truly valued member of the team.
Originally trained as a nurse, Sheena brings with her a natural sense of care, attention, and professionalism. However, her genuine passion for interiors led her to pursue a new path, and when the opportunity arose to join the company, she embraced it with enthusiasm and dedication.
Sheena has a wonderfully calm and composed nature, allowing her to work effortlessly under pressure while always maintaining the highest level of service. Her warm, friendly approach has not gone unnoticed—many of our clients regularly comment on how approachable, attentive, and delightful she is to work with.
She is a credit to the company and plays a key role in delivering the exceptional experience our clients expect.


Mark

Fitter Manager

Mark has been part of the Michael Moore Interiors family for over 10 years—and what a character he is.

Always cheerful, reliable, and incredibly meticulous, Mark takes genuine pride in every installation he carries out. His attention to detail and care on site perfectly reflects our standards, and as one of our in-house fitters (never subcontractors), he understands exactly what we stand for—making our last customer our next customer.

With years of hands-on experience in made-to-measure curtains and blinds, Mark has become a key part of the team. Clients regularly leave glowing feedback, and his satisfaction reports are consistently excellent—he’s one of those people you’re always pleased to have in your home.

Now… no one’s perfect.

Mark is a loyal Everton F.C. supporter—so we do try not to hold that against him! Although, to be fair, he’s always ready for a bit of football banter and can certainly hold his own with clients.

You’ll often find him up a ladder expertly dressing and fitting your curtains… and on smaller jobs, he claims he doesn’t even need one (we’ll let you decide if that’s true).

As part of our measuring team, Mark may also be the friendly face visiting your home or office. Feel free to say hello to the cheeky chap—but if you want a quiet appointment… best steer clear of football talk!


BEVERLEY

Head Curtain Maker

 

Beverley is our top curtain maker and has been in the curtain industry for over 35 years. Her skills are all learnt from the original days when everything was done with skills that have been passed down. Beverley oversees our teams of girls and she has taught the girls the art of fine sewing. Sometimes there are so many new fabrics that behave in weird and wonderful ways and if we feel they need some TLC then we speak to the master. Her experience is amazing and having that sort of knowledge makes all the difference. 


Bo

Chief Interior Designer for Doggie's Homes

"Bo". Sadly No Longer with Us (But Never Forgotton.)

Bo Beautiful as she we known, was so gorgeous and a Great addition to our team. She had a lovely nature and was the softest sweetest little girl. At MICHAEL MOORE INTERIORS we love our dogs and Bo was part of the family. She was most of the time found snuggled up under one of our desks in the warm and waiting for one of us to throw a ball.

(Miss her Dearly ... She will Never Be Forgotton.)

SKYE & SCARLET

MICHAEL MOORE INTERIORS HEAD OF DOG DESIGN INTERIORS ..LOL

At Michael Moore Interiors, we are all true animal lovers—and it’s safe to say our four-legged team members take their roles very seriously!

Set within an acre of beautiful countryside, our workrooms offer plenty of space for our dogs (and part-time security team!) to run free, stretch their legs, and keep a watchful eye on daily goings-on.

Skye & Scarlet, our beautiful Weimaraners, are the latest additions to the family—and they certainly like to make their presence known. From time to time, they may even join us on appointments, especially if there’s a good walk involved.

They’ve also been spotted enjoying outings in Regent's Park and Hyde Park, where they like to stretch their legs in style!
And if you happen to call our workrooms, don’t be surprised if you hear them in the background—usually announcing a delivery before we’ve even reached the door.
